Standard(s):
ELAGSE7RL1: Cite several pieces of textual evidence to support analysis of what
the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.
ELAGSE7RL3: Analyze how particular elements of a story or drama interact
(e.g., how settings shape the characters or plot).
Essential Question:
How do writers show us what characters are like in their literature without telling us directly?
What can we infer about a character based on the clues given to us by the author?
Based on our inferences, how would this character participate in modern social media?
Warm-up: As we watch the short film, write a list of everything you can about the character presented. Remember to make inferences based on what you see.

Closing:

-A few students will share details from their character facebook pages and justify their decisions with evidence from the text.
